Our Doctors

Neha V. Amin, O.D., F.A.A.O.

Dr. Amin is an active member of the Arizona Optometric Association. She was nominated as President-Elect in 2008 and just completed her reign as President of the Arizona Optometric Association in 2010. She was recognized as Young Optometrist of the Year in 2008.  She was chairman of the Diabetic Expo Committee and Walk for Diabetes for several years, organizing vision screenings, informational booths and recruiting volunteers. Dr. Amin also volunteers yearly to do free eye exams for the athletes competing in the local Special Olympics.

In 1997, she traveled to El Salvador with the Lions Club on a medical mission trip to provide optometric care. Free eye examinations were provided to hundreds of patients; many of whom had never seen well in their lifetimes. Glasses were given to those in need.

Dr. Amin graduated on the Dean's List from Indiana University. She received a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Minor in Psychology. She then attended and graduated with honors from the University of Missouri School of Optometry. Dr. Amin received awards of achievement in the fields of both contact lenses and vision therapy. She has been involved in contact lens research and received a grant for work on a research article discussing the use of rigid gas permeable contact lenses to slow the progression of nearsightedness.

Dr. Amin loves spending time with her husband and 2 boys, traveling, running, and most sports. Plus, having grown up in Indiana, she has the requisite basketball obsession needed to live there.

Dr. Amin currently works with the Banner Concussion Center to assist patients whose vision has dramatically been affected from a traumatic brain injury.

Dr. Amin is available for workshops and study groups and can be reached by e-mail. She is currently the chief optometrist at Advanced Vision and Achievement Center.

Mary Hardy, O.D.

Dr. Hardy is a member of the Arizona and American Optometric Association. She volunteers for many local eye screenings including Special Olympics, the ACT Kids Fair, HopeFest (for underprivileged families in the Phoenix area) as well as StandDown which supports our Nation's Veterans.

Dr. Hardy also participated in an international optometric mission to Grenada in the West Indies. With the help of the Rotary Club and VOSH (Volunteer Optometric Services for Humanity), over 1,500 eye exams were performed and over 1,000 pairs of eyeglasses were distributed over the course of their 4-day mission.

Originally from Mississippi, Dr. Hardy received a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Mississippi State University ( Go Bulldogs!) where she graduated Cum Laude. She then attended Arizona College of Optometry in Glendale, AZ where she graduated With Honors.

Dr. Hardy currently resides in the Phoenix area with her husband and their beloved dog. Their family is joined by the recent addition of a baby boy!
